By giving kids lots of choices so they can learn to make good decisions. Would you like carrots or broccoli with dinner? Would you like to have grapes or watermelon with your lunch? Modeling. So important for kids to see you making healthy choices. Thinking out loud, “man I really am craving some chocolate… I bet my brain would appreciate some pineapple instead and that will satisfy my sweet tooth as well”, can be an effective way to model as well.
